Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the fell 0.32% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the were Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:), which rose 17.07% or 1.90 points to trade at 13.03 at the close. Meanwhile, Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (BMV:) added 3.75% or 0.74 points to end at 20.47 and Orbia Advance Corporation SAB de CV (BMV:) was up 2.83% or 0.54 points to 19.64 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alsea , S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:), which fell 3.44% or 1.83 points to trade at 51.34 at the close. America Movil SAB de CV M (BMV:) declined 3.33% or 0.54 points to end at 15.69 and Regional SAB de CV (BMV:) was down 3.10% or 3.74 points to 116.74.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 117 to 106 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Alsea, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.44% or 1.83 to 51.34. Shares in Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (BMV:) rose to 52-week highs; up 3.75% or 0.74 to 20.47. Shares in Regional SAB de CV (BMV:) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.10% or 3.74 to 116.74.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.52% or 13.05 to $2,545.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 3.49% or 2.40 to hit $66.31 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.04% or 0.03 to trade at $69.72 a barrel.
USD/MXN was unchanged 0.02% to 20.09, while EUR/MXN fell 0.07% to 22.14.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 101.64.
