Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were Coca-Cola Femsa SAB de CV (BMV:), which rose 2.07% or 3.38 points to trade at 165.96 at the close. Meanwhile, Alsea , S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:) added 1.54% or 0.84 points to end at 55.12 and Gentera SAB de CV (BMV:) was up 1.20% or 0.26 points to 21.73 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Bimbo, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:), which fell 4.99% or 3.41 points to trade at 64.75 at the close. Becle SA (BMV:) declined 2.69% or 0.84 points to end at 30.31 and Qualitas Controladora, SAB De CV (BMV:) was down 2.01% or 3.36 points to 163.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 140 to 88 and 18 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.26% or 30.50 to $2,456.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.70% or 0.53 to hit $75.28 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.01% or 0.01 to trade at $78.54 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.06% to 18.76, while EUR/MXN unchanged 0.00% to 20.29.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 104.24.
