Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the fell 0.55%.
The best performers of the session on the were Controladora Vuela Compania de Aviacion SAB de CV (BMV:), which rose 2.82% or 0.32 points to trade at 11.61 at the close. Meanwhile, Cemex SAB de CV (BMV:) added 1.90% or 0.22 points to end at 11.79 and Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (BMV:) was up 1.56% or 0.69 points to 45.02 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Orbia Advance Corporation SAB de CV (BMV:), which fell 4.26% or 1.10 points to trade at 24.79 at the close. Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (BMV:) declined 3.60% or 9.21 points to end at 246.71 and Coca-Cola Femsa SAB de CV (BMV:) was down 3.38% or 5.60 points to 160.03.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 131 to 92 and 15 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.67% or 16.00 to $2,410.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.19% or 0.93 to hit $77.47 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.01% or 0.01 to trade at $81.56 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.17% to 18.17, while EUR/MXN rose 0.15% to 19.72.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 104.17.
