Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were Becle SA (BMV:), which rose 4.15% or 1.30 points to trade at 32.47 at the close. Meanwhile, Fomento Economico Mexicano UBD (BMV:) added 0.58% or 1.20 points to end at 207.63 and Coca-Cola Femsa SAB de CV (BMV:) was up 0.46% or 0.79 points to 170.83 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Financiero Banorte (BMV:), which fell 4.00% or 5.67 points to trade at 135.93 at the close. Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:) declined 3.26% or 0.40 points to end at 11.94 and Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (BMV:) was down 3.06% or 7.92 points to 250.14.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 131 to 116 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.06% or 26.90 to $2,520.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.46% or 1.05 to hit $72.98 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.10% or 0.08 to trade at $77.20 a barrel.
USD/MXN was unchanged 0.01% to 19.51, while EUR/MXN unchanged 0.00% to 21.68.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.48% at 101.39.
