Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the added 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the were Stokvis Nord Afrique (CSE:), which rose 9.96% or 1.63 points to trade at 18.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Involys (CSE:) added 9.62% or 10.00 points to end at 114.00 and Zellidja S.A (CSE:) was up 5.99% or 4.79 points to 84.79 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Realis. Mecaniques (CSE:), which fell 9.99% or 67.60 points to trade at 609.40 at the close. Fenie Brossette (CSE:) declined 8.92% or 11.15 points to end at 113.80 and Med Paper (CSE:) was down 7.29% or 1.94 points to 24.66.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 30 to 25 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Stokvis Nord Afrique (CSE:) rose to 52-week highs; up 9.96% or 1.63 to 18.00. Shares in Involys (CSE:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 9.62% or 10.00 to 114.00.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.97% or 1.44 to $74.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.75% or 1.35 to hit $78.57 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.42% or 35.70 to trade at $2,552.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.42% to 10.72, while USD/MAD unchanged 0.00% to 9.68.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.78% at 100.61.
