Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the rose 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the were Heineken (AS:), which rose 1.14% or 0.92 points to trade at 81.54 at the close. Meanwhile, Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:) added 1.02% or 0.31 points to end at 30.62 and ABN AMRO Group NV (AS:) was up 1.01% or 0.16 points to 15.54 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ASR Nederland NV (AS:), which fell 1.92% or 0.88 points to trade at 45.01 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (AS:) declined 1.00% or 0.21 points to end at 20.80 and BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:) was down 0.76% or 0.90 points to 118.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 56 to 47 and 12 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.08% or 1.61 to $75.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.83% or 1.47 to hit $78.89 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.38% or 9.70 to trade at $2,545.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.01% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.31% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 100.65.
