Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the rose 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the were ASR Nederland NV (AS:), which rose 2.53% or 1.11 points to trade at 45.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Exor NV (AS:) added 2.16% or 2.10 points to end at 99.35 and ING Groep NV (AS:) was up 1.82% or 0.28 points to 15.81 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ASM International NV (AS:), which fell 2.70% or 19.20 points to trade at 690.80 at the close. BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:) declined 2.28% or 3.50 points to end at 149.75 and ASML Holding NV (AS:) was down 1.55% or 14.90 points to 948.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 64 to 31 and 16 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.99% or 0.80 to $81.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.89% or 0.75 to hit $85.08 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.44% or 10.30 to trade at $2,341.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.36% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 105.18.
