Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The best performers of the session on the were Universal Music Group NV (AS:), which rose 1.57% or 0.43 points to trade at 27.86 at the close. Meanwhile, DSM Firmenich AG (AS:) added 1.42% or 1.50 points to end at 107.25 and NN Group NV (AS:) was up 1.34% or 0.59 points to 44.53 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ASR Nederland NV (AS:), which fell 1.92% or 0.86 points to trade at 43.96 at the close. Unilever PLC (AS:) declined 0.93% or 0.48 points to end at 50.86 and Aegon Ltd (AS:) was down 0.89% or 0.05 points to 5.80.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 51 to 49 and 13 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.30% or 0.25 to $83.13 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.06% or 0.05 to hit $86.55 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.29% or 6.75 to trade at $2,332.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.22% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 105.53.
