Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the added 0.31% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the were ING Groep NV (AS:), which rose 3.07% or 0.45 points to trade at 15.18 at the close. Meanwhile, Adyen NV (AS:) added 2.55% or 36.80 points to end at 1,477.60 and ABN AMRO Group NV (AS:) was up 2.49% or 0.37 points to 15.05 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Shell PLC (AS:), which fell 1.54% or 0.48 points to trade at 30.30 at the close. Koninklijke Philips NV (AS:) declined 1.16% or 0.29 points to end at 24.79 and ASM International NV (AS:) was down 1.05% or 5.40 points to 508.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 58 to 38 and 10 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.16% or 0.11 to $68.43 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.08% or 0.06 to hit $72.25 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.70% or 18.61 to trade at $2,657.59 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.58% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.13% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.43% at 105.83.
