Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the rose 0.62%.
The best performers of the session on the were Prosus (AS:), which rose 7.89% or 2.85 points to trade at 38.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Randstad NV (AS:) added 5.01% or 2.07 points to end at 43.40 and ArcelorMittal SA (AS:) was up 4.73% or 1.05 points to 23.26 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Shell PLC (AS:), which fell 4.28% or 1.31 points to trade at 29.32 at the close. Wolters Kluwer (AS:) declined 1.11% or 1.75 points to end at 155.35 and Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:) was down 1.03% or 0.32 points to 30.85.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 72 to 24 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Prosus (AS:) rose to 3-years highs; rising 7.89% or 2.85 to 38.90.
The , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.27% or 1.58 to $68.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 2.00% or 1.46 to hit $71.44 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 5.45 to trade at $2,690.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.38% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.29% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 100.31.
