Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the rose 0.79%.
The best performers of the session on the were ASML Holding NV (AS:), which rose 8.69% or 59.80 points to trade at 747.80 at the close. Meanwhile, ASM International NV (AS:) added 6.19% or 35.00 points to end at 600.60 and BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:) was up 5.42% or 7.35 points to 142.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Prosus (AS:), which fell 7.25% or 2.79 points to trade at 35.63 at the close. Unilever PLC (AS:) declined 2.51% or 1.38 points to end at 53.60 and Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:) was down 0.78% or 0.25 points to 31.75.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 62 to 29 and 17 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.12% or 0.09 to $74.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.18% or 0.14 to hit $76.65 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.12% or 3.14 to trade at $2,651.56 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.77% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.62% at 108.13.
