Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The best performers of the session on the were Akzo Nobel NV (AS:), which rose 2.78% or 1.56 points to trade at 57.76 at the close. Meanwhile, DSM Firmenich AG (AS:) added 2.71% or 2.56 points to end at 97.18 and ArcelorMittal SA (AS:) was up 2.52% or 0.55 points to 22.39 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:), which fell 0.65% or 0.02 points to trade at 3.50 at the close. Unilever PLC (AS:) declined 0.08% or 0.04 points to end at 53.10 and ASML Holding NV (AS:) was 0.00% or 0.00 points to 712.70.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 74 to 24 and 9 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 2.32% or 1.77 to $78.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.85% or 1.48 to hit $81.40 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.25% or 33.40 to trade at $2,715.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.19% to 1.03, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.20% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 108.99.
