Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the rose 1.77%.
The best performers of the session on the were Adyen NV (AS:), which rose 5.61% or 74.20 points to trade at 1,396.20 at the close. Meanwhile, ASM International NV (AS:) added 5.57% or 31.20 points to end at 591.20 and Prosus (AS:) was up 4.73% or 1.54 points to 34.07 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:), which fell 2.20% or 0.08 points to trade at 3.61 at the close. Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:) declined 1.04% or 0.32 points to end at 30.56 and DSM Firmenich AG (AS:) was down 0.90% or 1.05 points to 116.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 82 to 19 and 7 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 2.20% or 1.54 to $71.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.94% or 1.43 to hit $75.08 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.61% or 15.95 to trade at $2,614.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.30% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.26% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 100.44.
