Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were Koninklijke Philips NV (AS:), which rose 1.49% or 0.41 points to trade at 27.94 at the close. Meanwhile, DSM Firmenich AG (AS:) added 1.32% or 1.55 points to end at 119.30 and ASML Holding NV (AS:) was up 1.02% or 7.40 points to 735.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Adyen NV (AS:), which fell 1.99% or 27.40 points to trade at 1,347.80 at the close. Shell PLC (AS:) declined 1.69% or 0.53 points to end at 30.63 and ING Groep NV (AS:) was down 1.68% or 0.28 points to 16.29.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 50 to 46 and 8 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.10% or 1.50 to $70.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.62% or 1.21 to hit $73.26 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 3.90 to trade at $2,680.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.31% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.26% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 100.51.
