Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were DSM Firmenich AG (AS:), which rose 1.20% or 1.25 points to trade at 105.05 at the close. Meanwhile, Relx PLC (AS:) added 0.77% or 0.34 points to end at 44.78 and Heineken (AS:) was up 0.40% or 0.28 points to 70.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:), which fell 2.39% or 0.09 points to trade at 3.59 at the close. Prosus (AS:) declined 1.78% or 0.74 points to end at 40.51 and Randstad NV (AS:) was down 1.26% or 0.55 points to 43.04.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 63 to 32 and 12 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.83% or 0.57 to $68.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.61% or 0.44 to hit $72.58 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.18% or 31.75 to trade at $2,717.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.37% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.45% to 0.82.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 106.19.
