Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were ING Groep NV (AS:), which rose 2.03% or 0.32 points to trade at 16.08 at the close. Meanwhile, ArcelorMittal SA (AS:) added 2.00% or 0.45 points to end at 22.97 and ABN AMRO Group NV (AS:) was up 1.83% or 0.29 points to 16.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:), which fell 5.02% or 7.30 points to trade at 138.25 at the close. ASML Holding NV (AS:) declined 4.38% or 32.80 points to end at 715.30 and Wolters Kluwer (AS:) was down 2.92% or 5.10 points to 169.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 54 to 39 and 11 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.98% or 0.74 to $74.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.89% or 0.70 to hit $78.30 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.34% or 9.39 to trade at $2,761.51 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.11% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.17% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 107.91.
