Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the declined 0.71%.
The best performers of the session on the were Shell PLC (AS:), which rose 0.60% or 0.19 points to trade at 30.85 at the close. Meanwhile, Randstad NV (AS:) added 0.37% or 0.16 points to end at 43.91 and Prosus (AS:) was up 0.11% or 0.05 points to 40.94 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Akzo Nobel NV (AS:), which fell 2.07% or 1.30 points to trade at 61.42 at the close. Unilever PLC (AS:) declined 1.75% or 1.02 points to end at 57.14 and IMCD NV (AS:) was down 1.70% or 2.65 points to 153.25.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 70 to 24 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Prosus (AS:) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 0.11% or 0.05 to 40.94.
The , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 4.38% or 3.07 to $73.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 4.15% or 3.07 to hit $76.97 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.55 to trade at $2,670.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP rose 0.87% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 101.80.
