Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were Aegon Ltd (AS:), which rose 4.80% or 0.28 points to trade at 6.16 at the close. Meanwhile, Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:) added 3.63% or 1.12 points to end at 31.95 and Akzo Nobel NV (AS:) was up 1.55% or 0.90 points to 58.98 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ASM International NV (AS:), which fell 3.03% or 15.60 points to trade at 498.80 at the close. ING Groep NV (AS:) declined 2.84% or 0.44 points to end at 15.18 and Heineken (AS:) was down 2.49% or 1.84 points to 72.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 61 to 35 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:) rose to 52-week highs; up 3.63% or 1.12 to 31.95. Shares in Heineken (AS:) fell to 3-years lows; losing 2.49% or 1.84 to 72.20.
The , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.06% or 0.04 to $72.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.23% or 0.17 to hit $75.36 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 2.68% or 73.60 to trade at $2,676.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 1.81% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP fell 0.66% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 1.66% at 105.04.
