Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:), which rose 3.22% or 0.74 points to trade at 23.71 at the close. Meanwhile, Randstad NV (AS:) added 2.84% or 1.16 points to end at 42.02 and Akzo Nobel NV (AS:) was up 1.75% or 1.04 points to 60.58 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Shell PLC (AS:), which fell 2.16% or 0.69 points to trade at 31.29 at the close. DSM Firmenich AG (AS:) declined 2.06% or 2.04 points to end at 97.12 and ASML Holding NV (AS:) was down 2.04% or 14.60 points to 700.70.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 55 to 37 and 15 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.39% or 0.29 to $74.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.06% or 0.05 to hit $78.24 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.56% or 15.36 to trade at $2,780.36 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.99% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.18% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.75% at 107.05.
