Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were ASM International NV (AS:), which rose 5.42% or 28.00 points to trade at 544.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Shell PLC (AS:) fell 0.25% or 0.08 points to end at 30.13 and Randstad NV (AS:) was down 0.86% or 0.37 points to 42.57 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Koninklijke Philips NV (AS:), which fell 3.43% or 0.86 points to trade at 24.23 at the close. ASML Holding NV (AS:) declined 3.24% or 21.20 points to end at 634.00 and Prosus (AS:) was down 2.79% or 1.12 points to 39.09.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 80 to 27 and 5 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 2.01% or 1.35 to $68.56 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.92% or 1.36 to hit $72.09 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.57% or 15.90 to trade at $2,797.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.34% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.52% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 103.96.
