Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the rose 0.28%.
The best performers of the session on the were Text SA (WA:), which rose 4.58% or 3.80 points to trade at 86.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Benefit Systems SA (WA:) added 4.07% or 105.00 points to end at 2,685.00 and LPP SA (WA:) was up 2.85% or 470.00 points to 16,980.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:), which fell 1.87% or 0.08 points to trade at 3.93 at the close. Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:) declined 1.80% or 0.56 points to end at 30.53 and Dino Polska SA (WA:) was down 1.18% or 4.70 points to 392.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 256 to 244 and 106 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.05% or 0.04 to $83.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.15% or 0.13 to hit $87.47 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.10% or 2.40 to trade at $2,367.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.30% to 4.28, while USD/PLN fell 0.56% to 3.96.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 104.79.
