Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the gained 0.38%.
The best performers of the session on the were Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:), which rose 2.84% or 0.11 points to trade at 3.91 at the close. Meanwhile, Enea SA (WA:) added 2.77% or 0.36 points to end at 13.36 and Asseco Poland SA (WA:) was up 1.89% or 1.80 points to 96.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CCC SA (WA:), which fell 2.81% or 5.50 points to trade at 190.30 at the close. Allegro (WA:) declined 1.89% or 0.54 points to end at 27.71 and Orange Polska SA (WA:) was down 1.33% or 0.10 points to 7.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 344 to 218 and 68 ended unchanged.
Shares in Enea SA (WA:) rose to 5-year highs; up 2.77% or 0.36 to 13.36. Shares in Asseco Poland SA (WA:) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 1.89% or 1.80 to 96.80.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.16% or 0.85 to $73.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.68% or 0.52 to hit $76.45 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.44% or 11.79 to trade at $2,657.21 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was unchanged 0.03% to 4.27, while USD/PLN fell 0.31% to 4.15.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 108.89.
