Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the rose 0.50%.
The best performers of the session on the were mBank SA (WA:), which rose 2.28% or 13.40 points to trade at 601.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Bank Polska Kasa Opieki SA (WA:) added 1.99% or 3.00 points to end at 153.60 and Allegro (WA:) was up 1.87% or 0.70 points to 38.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were LPP SA (WA:), which fell 2.46% or 360.00 points to trade at 14,270.00 at the close. CCC SA (WA:) declined 2.29% or 3.10 points to end at 132.10 and Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:) was down 1.79% or 0.47 points to 25.73.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 269 to 224 and 119 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.91% or 0.71 to $77.64 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.33% or 0.27 to hit $80.42 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.91% or 22.90 to trade at $2,484.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was unchanged 0.06% to 4.29, while USD/PLN fell 0.23% to 3.89.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 102.28.
