Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the gained 0.67%.
The best performers of the session on the were Text SA (WA:), which rose 13.08% or 9.60 points to trade at 83.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Enea SA (WA:) added 5.18% or 0.55 points to end at 11.16 and KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:) was up 3.92% or 5.75 points to 152.45 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were X Trade Brokers Dom Maklerski SA (WA:), which fell 2.68% or 1.90 points to trade at 69.10 at the close. Benefit Systems SA (WA:) declined 2.27% or 60.00 points to end at 2,580.00 and LPP SA (WA:) was down 1.14% or 190.00 points to 16,510.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 272 to 246 and 104 ended unchanged.
Shares in Enea SA (WA:) rose to 5-year highs; rising 5.18% or 0.55 to 11.16.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.17% or 0.14 to $82.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.10% or 0.09 to hit $86.15 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.58% or 36.95 to trade at $2,370.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.25% to 4.30, while USD/PLN fell 0.75% to 3.98.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.46% at 104.92.
