Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the gained 0.87%.
The best performers of the session on the were Benefit Systems SA (WA:), which rose 3.79% or 100.00 points to trade at 2,740.00 at the close. Meanwhile, CCC SA (WA:) added 3.78% or 4.40 points to end at 120.80 and Text SA (WA:) was up 3.03% or 2.60 points to 88.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupa Azoty SA (WA:), which fell 1.39% or 0.28 points to trade at 19.92 at the close. Asseco Poland SA (WA:) declined 1.26% or 1.05 points to end at 82.10 and Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:) was down 0.99% or 0.30 points to 30.02.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 255 to 254 and 104 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.87% or 0.72 to $82.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.72% or 0.62 to hit $85.92 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.99% or 23.70 to trade at $2,374.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.30% to 4.27, while USD/PLN fell 0.27% to 3.94.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 104.60.
