Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the added 1.09%.
The best performers of the session on the were LPP SA (WA:), which rose 5.14% or 720.00 points to trade at 14,720.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupa Azoty SA (WA:) added 3.53% or 0.67 points to end at 19.67 and Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:) was up 2.97% or 0.36 points to 12.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Enea SA (WA:), which fell 1.17% or 0.13 points to trade at 10.94 at the close. Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:) declined 0.95% or 0.49 points to end at 51.23 and Grupa KĘTY SA (WA:) was down 0.56% or 4.00 points to 710.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 275 to 234 and 95 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.19% or 0.13 to $69.37 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.07% or 0.05 to hit $73.36 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.83% or 21.80 to trade at $2,652.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.15% to 4.34, while USD/PLN rose 0.88% to 4.12.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.60% at 106.79.
