Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the added 3.21%.
The best performers of the session on the were KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:), which rose 9.18% or 11.50 points to trade at 136.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Alior Bank SA (WA:) added 5.06% or 5.03 points to end at 104.45 and CCC SA (WA:) was up 5.00% or 6.60 points to 138.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:), which fell 1.44% or 0.37 points to trade at 25.36 at the close. Benefit Systems SA (WA:) declined 0.75% or 20.00 points to end at 2,630.00 and Orange Polska SA (WA:) was down 0.15% or 0.01 points to 8.16.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 301 to 209 and 112 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.73% or 1.35 to $76.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.44% or 1.17 to hit $79.87 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.37% or 34.20 to trade at $2,526.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.43% to 4.27, while USD/PLN fell 0.65% to 3.88.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 102.59.
