Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the declined 0.06%.
The best performers of the session on the were Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:), which rose 10.63% or 1.38 points to trade at 14.36 at the close. Meanwhile, Benefit Systems SA (WA:) added 3.13% or 80.00 points to end at 2,635.00 and CD PROJEKT SA (WA:) was up 3.01% or 5.40 points to 185.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Eurocash SA (WA:), which fell 5.06% or 0.55 points to trade at 10.31 at the close. Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:) declined 2.90% or 1.85 points to end at 62.03 and KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:) was down 2.11% or 2.95 points to 136.90.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 278 to 232 and 105 ended unchanged.
Shares in Eurocash SA (WA:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 5.06% or 0.55 to 10.31. Shares in CD PROJEKT SA (WA:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 3.01% or 5.40 to 185.00.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.75% or 1.26 to $73.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.72% or 1.31 to hit $77.36 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.32% or 33.75 to trade at $2,513.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.12% to 4.28, while USD/PLN rose 0.47% to 3.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 101.38.
