Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the fell 0.91%.
The best performers of the session on the were Dino Polska SA (WA:), which rose 1.29% or 5.00 points to trade at 393.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Text SA (WA:) added 0.83% or 0.70 points to end at 85.00 and Bank Millennium SA (WA:) was up 0.79% or 0.08 points to 9.54 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupa Azoty SA (WA:), which fell 2.75% or 0.56 points to trade at 19.80 at the close. CCC SA (WA:) declined 2.64% or 3.20 points to end at 117.90 and BUDIMEX SA (WA:) was down 2.38% or 16.50 points to 677.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 303 to 210 and 108 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.14% or 0.93 to $82.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.92% or 0.78 to hit $85.44 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.78% or 18.50 to trade at $2,386.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.17% to 4.26, while USD/PLN unchanged 0.04% to 3.93.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 104.71.
