Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the declined 1.41% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the were Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:), which rose 4.40% or 0.56 points to trade at 13.28 at the close. Meanwhile, Orange Polska SA (WA:) added 2.78% or 0.22 points to end at 8.05 and Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:) was up 1.85% or 0.07 points to 3.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were mBank SA (WA:), which fell 4.06% or 24.60 points to trade at 582.00 at the close. Alior Bank SA (WA:) declined 3.96% or 3.68 points to end at 89.26 and Bank Millennium SA (WA:) was down 3.82% or 0.34 points to 8.56.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 378 to 145 and 93 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 3.72% or 2.84 to $73.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 3.32% or 2.64 to hit $76.88 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.49% or 12.20 to trade at $2,468.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.19% to 4.29, while USD/PLN fell 1.40% to 3.93.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.21% at 102.94.
