Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the declined 3.34% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the were Asseco Poland SA (WA:), which fell 0.25% or 0.20 points to trade at 81.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Alior Bank SA (WA:) fell 0.74% or 0.66 points to end at 88.60 and LPP SA (WA:) was down 1.09% or 160.00 points to 14,580.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Enea SA (WA:), which fell 7.00% or 0.78 points to trade at 10.37 at the close. Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:) declined 6.97% or 0.26 points to end at 3.54 and PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA:) was down 5.73% or 0.41 points to 6.74.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 539 to 61 and 54 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.79% or 0.58 to $72.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.64% or 0.49 to hit $76.32 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.87% or 21.50 to trade at $2,448.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.28% to 4.30, while USD/PLN fell 0.25% to 3.92.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.55% at 102.42.
