Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the gained 0.31%.
The best performers of the session on the were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:), which rose 1.65% or 0.07 points to trade at 4.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:) added 1.62% or 0.31 points to end at 19.44 and Galp Energia Nom (ELI:) was up 1.09% or 0.21 points to 19.09 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Corticeira Amorim (ELI:), which fell 1.29% or 0.12 points to trade at 9.18 at the close. Altri SGPS SA (ELI:) declined 1.02% or 0.06 points to end at 5.34 and Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:) was 0.91% or 0.00 points to 0.34.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 11 to 11 and 10 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.88% or 0.74 to $85.07 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.99% or 0.80 to hit $81.53 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.44% or 10.20 to trade at $2,341.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.36% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.04% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 105.18.
