Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the gained 0.34%.
The best performers of the session on the were Ibersol SGPS (ELI:), which rose 3.17% or 0.22 points to trade at 7.16 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP Renovaveis (ELI:) added 1.25% or 0.17 points to end at 13.77 and Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:) was up 0.56% or 0.11 points to 19.68 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Semapa (ELI:), which fell 1.68% or 0.26 points to trade at 15.24 at the close. Altri SGPS SA (ELI:) declined 1.21% or 0.07 points to end at 5.30 and Corticeira Amorim (ELI:) was down 0.52% or 0.05 points to 9.62.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 17 to 10 and 3 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.26% or 0.22 to $85.30 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.26% or 0.21 to hit $81.65 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.09% or 2.15 to trade at $2,462.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.22% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 103.73.
