Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the added 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the were Ibersol SGPS (ELI:), which rose 2.00% or 0.14 points to trade at 7.14 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:) added 1.49% or 0.01 points to end at 0.39 and Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:) was up 1.29% or 0.04 points to 3.45 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Altri SGPS SA (ELI:), which fell 1.09% or 0.05 points to trade at 4.72 at the close. Semapa (ELI:) declined 0.84% or 0.12 points to end at 14.10 and EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:) was down 0.77% or 0.03 points to 3.71.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 14 to 12 and 7 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.33% or 0.27 to $80.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.87% or 0.68 to hit $77.67 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.00% or 25.20 to trade at $2,482.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.24% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.35% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 102.32.
