Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the rose 0.44%.
The best performers of the session on the were Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI:), which rose 1.28% or 0.03 points to trade at 2.38 at the close. Meanwhile, Altri SGPS SA (ELI:) added 1.22% or 0.06 points to end at 4.81 and Ibersol SGPS (ELI:) was up 1.13% or 0.08 points to 7.18 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:), which fell 1.31% or 0.05 points to trade at 3.45 at the close. EDP Renovaveis (ELI:) declined 0.50% or 0.07 points to end at 14.00 and Galp Energia Nom (ELI:) was down 0.05% or 0.01 points to 19.08.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 19 to 8 and 3 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 1.35% or 1.09 to $79.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.55% or 1.21 to hit $76.95 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.60% or 39.85 to trade at $2,532.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.20% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 102.54.
