Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the gained 0.76%.
The best performers of the session on the were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:), which rose 6.10% or 0.15 points to trade at 2.57 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP Renovaveis (ELI:) added 3.89% or 0.41 points to end at 10.94 and Corticeira Amorim (ELI:) was up 1.84% or 0.15 points to 8.32 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Altri SGPS SA (ELI:), which fell 0.79% or 0.04 points to trade at 5.03 at the close. The Navigator Company SA (ELI:) declined 0.74% or 0.03 points to end at 3.51 and Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:) was 0.49% or 0.00 points to 0.44.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 20 to 6 and 3 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for January delivery was up 0.97% or 0.72 to $74.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.20% or 0.84 to hit $70.94 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.20% or 32.00 to trade at $2,706.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.71% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.16% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.64% at 107.61.
