Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were Greenvolt Energias Renovaveis SA (ELI:), which rose 1.92% or 0.16 points to trade at 8.50 at the close. Meanwhile, CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:) added 1.69% or 0.07 points to end at 4.22 and Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:) was up 1.51% or 0.28 points to 18.79 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were EDP Renovaveis (ELI:), which fell 1.55% or 0.21 points to trade at 13.30 at the close. Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:) declined 1.26% or 0.04 points to end at 3.44 and Galp Energia Nom (ELI:) was down 0.87% or 0.18 points to 19.86.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 14 to 14 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Greenvolt Energias Renovaveis SA (ELI:) rose to 52-week highs; rising 1.92% or 0.16 to 8.50.
Brent oil for September delivery was down 1.29% or 1.11 to $84.64 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 1.23% or 1.01 to hit $81.32 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.25% or 5.85 to trade at $2,369.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.07% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 104.82.
