Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the fell 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the were The Navigator Company SA (ELI:), which rose 1.51% or 0.06 points to trade at 3.91 at the close. Meanwhile, Semapa (ELI:) added 1.17% or 0.18 points to end at 15.50 and Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI:) was up 0.42% or 0.01 points to 2.38 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:), which fell 1.14% or 0.04 points to trade at 3.63 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (ELI:) declined 1.11% or 0.22 points to end at 19.09 and Altri SGPS SA (ELI:) was down 0.74% or 0.04 points to 5.39.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 16 to 11 and 8 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was down 1.87% or 1.54 to $80.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 2.13% or 1.67 to hit $76.73 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.45% or 10.75 to trade at $2,405.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.32% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.18% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 104.19.
