Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the declined 0.19% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the were Galp Energia Nom (ELI:), which rose 0.89% or 0.17 points to trade at 18.76 at the close. Meanwhile, Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI:) added 0.64% or 0.02 points to end at 2.35 and Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:) was unchanged 0.14% or 0.00 points to 0.36 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:), which fell 2.57% or 0.09 points to trade at 3.26 at the close. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:) declined 1.44% or 0.06 points to end at 4.10 and Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:) was down 1.36% or 0.22 points to 15.94.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 13 to 11 and 10 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was up 0.81% or 0.62 to $76.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.99% or 0.72 to hit $73.66 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.68% or 16.70 to trade at $2,427.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.24% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.42% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 102.81.
