Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the fell 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:), which rose 1.08% or 0.03 points to trade at 2.61 at the close. Meanwhile, Ibersol SGPS (ELI:) added 0.54% or 0.04 points to end at 7.50 and Sonae SGPS SA (ELI:) was up 0.53% or 0.01 points to 0.94 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:), which fell 0.90% or 0.03 points to trade at 3.42 at the close. The Navigator Company SA (ELI:) declined 0.87% or 0.03 points to end at 3.43 and Nos SGPS SA (ELI:) was down 0.86% or 0.03 points to 3.46.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 14 to 13 and 2 ended unchanged.
Shares in The Navigator Company SA (ELI:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 0.87% or 0.03 to 3.43.
Brent oil for February delivery was down 0.55% or 0.40 to $72.38 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.03% or 0.02 to hit $68.70 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.74% or 19.79 to trade at $2,684.59 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.04% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 106.03.
