Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the declined 0.55%.
The best performers of the session on the were Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:), which unchanged 1.04% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.46 at the close. Meanwhile, Sonae SGPS SA (ELI:) added 0.98% or 0.01 points to end at 0.93 and Galp Energia Nom (ELI:) was up 0.50% or 0.08 points to 16.18 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nos SGPS SA (ELI:), which fell 4.36% or 0.16 points to trade at 3.40 at the close. Corticeira Amorim (ELI:) declined 3.42% or 0.29 points to end at 8.20 and EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:) was down 1.89% or 0.07 points to 3.58.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 13 to 13 and 3 ended unchanged.
Shares in Corticeira Amorim (ELI:) fell to 3-years lows; falling 3.42% or 0.29 to 8.20.
Brent oil for January delivery was up 1.35% or 1.01 to $76.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.53% or 1.09 to hit $72.56 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.18% or 4.85 to trade at $2,751.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.40% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.37% at 103.40.
