Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the declined 0.62%.
The best performers of the session on the were Semapa (ELI:), which rose 0.82% or 0.12 points to trade at 14.82 at the close. Meanwhile, Ibersol SGPS (ELI:) added 0.55% or 0.04 points to end at 7.26 and Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:) was unchanged 0.09% or 0.00 points to 0.43 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:), which fell 2.27% or 0.06 points to trade at 2.59 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (ELI:) declined 1.66% or 0.28 points to end at 16.55 and Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:) was down 1.45% or 0.25 points to 16.95.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 21 to 6 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 1.76% or 1.31 to $73.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.84% or 1.30 to hit $69.37 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.92% or 24.95 to trade at $2,732.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.24% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.12% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 103.39.
