Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the lost 0.65% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the were Galp Energia Nom (ELI:), which rose 0.59% or 0.12 points to trade at 19.72 at the close. Meanwhile, Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI:) added 0.22% or 0.01 points to end at 2.29 and Nos SGPS SA (ELI:) was up 0.15% or 0.01 points to 3.31 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Semapa (ELI:), which fell 2.04% or 0.30 points to trade at 14.38 at the close. Altri SGPS SA (ELI:) declined 2.00% or 0.11 points to end at 5.39 and EDP Renovaveis (ELI:) was down 1.95% or 0.26 points to 13.05.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 19 to 9 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was down 0.12% or 0.10 to $85.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.10% or 0.08 to hit $81.66 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.19% or 4.40 to trade at $2,341.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.10% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 105.54.
