Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were Corticeira Amorim (ELI:), which rose 2.70% or 0.24 points to trade at 9.14 at the close. Meanwhile, The Navigator Company SA (ELI:) added 0.71% or 0.03 points to end at 3.67 and Nos SGPS SA (ELI:) was up 0.56% or 0.02 points to 3.61 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:), which fell 2.88% or 0.07 points to trade at 2.43 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (ELI:) declined 2.28% or 0.40 points to end at 16.93 and Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:) was down 2.23% or 0.01 points to 0.40.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 16 to 12 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 2.88% or 0.07 to 2.43.
Brent oil for November delivery was down 3.79% or 2.72 to $69.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 4.34% or 2.98 to hit $65.73 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.29% or 7.25 to trade at $2,539.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.10% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 101.64.
