Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the fell 1.18%.
The best performers of the session on the were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:), which rose 5.38% or 0.13 points to trade at 2.62 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP Renovaveis (ELI:) added 0.39% or 0.04 points to end at 10.17 and Ibersol SGPS (ELI:) was up 0.27% or 0.02 points to 7.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:), which fell 2.96% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.44 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (ELI:) declined 1.92% or 0.32 points to end at 16.39 and Semapa (ELI:) was down 1.86% or 0.26 points to 13.74.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 17 to 8 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for February delivery was down 1.10% or 0.79 to $71.30 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.29% or 0.88 to hit $67.42 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.48% or 12.79 to trade at $2,661.19 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 106.00.
