Investing.com – Russia stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The best performers of the session on the were AK Transneft OAO Pref (MCX:), which rose 4.12% or 55.00 points to trade at 1,378.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Mobil’nye Telesistemy PAO (MCX:) added 3.91% or 8.95 points to end at 237.95 and Surgut-pref (MCX:) was up 3.03% or 1.50 points to 50.76 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were FSK EES (MCX:), which unchanged 1.52% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.10 at the close. OK Rusal MKPAO (MCX:) declined 1.04% or 0.40 points to end at 38.20 and Globaltrans Investment Gdr (MCX:) was down 0.89% or 5.15 points to 571.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 199 to 44 and 9 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia options, was down 0.74% to 27.00.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 2.18% or 53.60 to $2,402.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 3.32% or 2.70 to hit $78.60 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 2.96% or 2.52 to trade at $82.59 a barrel.
USD/RUB was down 0.78% to 87.70, while EUR/RUB fell 0.92% to 95.44.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 104.07.
