Investing.com – Russia stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were IPJSC YANDEX (MCX:), which rose 2.21% or 86.00 points to trade at 3,969.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Unipro PJSC (MCX:) added 2.19% or 0.04 points to end at 1.68 and Polyus PJSC (MCX:) was up 2.17% or 314.00 points to 14,814.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Magnitogorskiy Metallurgicheskiy Kombinat PAO (MCX:), which fell 1.41% or 0.56 points to trade at 39.03 at the close. Surgutneftegas PJSC (MCX:) declined 1.21% or 0.29 points to end at 24.06 and Rostelekom PJSC (MCX:) was down 1.17% or 0.81 points to 68.25.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 154 to 91 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Magnitogorskiy Metallurgicheskiy Kombinat PAO (MCX:) fell to 52-week lows; down 1.41% or 0.56 to 39.03. Shares in Polyus PJSC (MCX:) rose to 52-week highs; up 2.17% or 314.00 to 14,814.00.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.71% or 19.40 to $2,748.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.53% or 0.37 to hit $70.00 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $74.56 a barrel.
USD/RUB was unchanged 0.01% to 96.25, while EUR/RUB fell 0.01% to 104.21.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 103.88.
