Investing.com – Russia stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were Moskovskiy Kreditnyi Bank PAO (MCX:), which rose 0.76% or 0.05 points to trade at 6.33 at the close. Meanwhile, OK Rusal MKPAO (MCX:) added 0.13% or 0.05 points to end at 34.42 and Polyus PJSC (MCX:) was up 0.09% or 11.50 points to 13,524.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Magnitogorskiy Metallurgicheskiy Kombinat PAO (MCX:), which fell 8.19% or 3.63 points to trade at 40.66 at the close. Severstal PJSC (MCX:) declined 4.18% or 52.00 points to end at 1,191.20 and Novolipetsk Steel (MCX:) was down 4.07% or 5.68 points to 133.84.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 195 to 45 and 14 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.63% or 17.05 to $2,708.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.53% or 0.37 to hit $70.76 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.07% or 0.05 to trade at $74.47 a barrel.
USD/RUB was down 0.02% to 97.39, while EUR/RUB unchanged 0.00% to 105.49.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 103.59.
