Investing.com – Russia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were GDR ROS AGRO PLC ORD SHS (MCX:), which rose 1.55% or 17.80 points to trade at 1,166.80 at the close. Meanwhile, PhosAgro PJSC (MCX:) added 0.82% or 44.00 points to end at 5,378.00 and Moskovskiy Kreditnyi Bank PAO (MCX:) was up 0.56% or 0.04 points to 7.02 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were VK Company Ltd (MCX:), which fell 3.91% or 11.60 points to trade at 285.20 at the close. AFK Sistema PJSC (MCX:) declined 3.71% or 0.51 points to end at 13.28 and Magnitogorskiy Metallurgicheskiy Kombinat PAO (MCX:) was down 3.33% or 1.19 points to 34.52.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 169 to 72 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in VK Company Ltd (MCX:) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.91% or 11.60 to 285.20. Shares in Magnitogorskiy Metallurgicheskiy Kombinat PAO (MCX:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.33% or 1.19 to 34.52.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.86% or 22.60 to $2,653.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.23% or 0.16 to hit $69.08 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.26% or 0.19 to trade at $73.12 a barrel.
USD/RUB was up 0.02% to 100.60, while EUR/RUB fell 0.48% to 106.06.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.44% at 106.61.
