Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the gained 0.56% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the were Al Sagr Co-operative Insurance Co (TADAWUL:), which rose 10.00% or 1.88 points to trade at 20.68 at the close. Meanwhile, National Gas & Industrialization Co (TADAWUL:) added 6.01% or 5.40 points to end at 95.30 and Aljazira Takaful Taawuni Company (TADAWUL:) was up 5.32% or 0.98 points to 19.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Al Taiseer Group TALCO Industrial Company SCJSC (TADAWUL:), which fell 7.72% or 5.50 points to trade at 65.70 at the close. Rasan Information Technology (TADAWUL:) declined 7.11% or 4.90 points to end at 64.00 and MBC Group CJSC (TADAWUL:) was down 6.50% or 3.20 points to 46.05.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 153 to 132 and 26 ended unchanged.
Shares in National Gas & Industrialization Co (TADAWUL:) rose to 5-year highs; up 6.01% or 5.40 to 95.30.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.11% or 0.09 to $80.93 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.11% or 0.09 to hit $84.94 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.03% or 0.75 to trade at $2,419.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was unchanged 0.02% to 4.09, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.00% to 3.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 103.87.
